Take the 4^3 RGB cube. Lay its 4 4x4 slices out into a 8x8 square. Make each cell thereof a "meta" version according to its position identity:
* x, 0 5 A F;
* 0, 0 1 2 3;
* 5, 4 5 6 7;
* A, 8 9 A B;
* F, C D E F;
Each pixel itself thus expands into its own 8x8 square, totaling 64x64. Then do that again for its second hexadecimal digit per channel; each pixel from the 64x64 becomes 64x64 itself, totaling 4096x4096.
